Miskelly Other Families

It is known that John Miskelly named his first son after his friend James Montgomery with whom it is presumed he came from Ireland.   It is said that they lived together before John and Mary found their own accommodation and if you look at the 1851 census there is a Margaret, Emily and Samuel Miskelly lodging still with James Montgomery.

I have been unable to find out if and how these three are related to John Miskelly. Emily and Samuel are Grandchildren of Margaret who is 78 so where is her son father of the two children ?

Could she be the mother of Margaret Montgomery who was married before and the children are hers from a previous marriage ?

Is Margaret Montgomery Johns sister making Margaret Miskelly Johns mother ?

If anyone looking at this web site can help then I would appreciate it otherwise I shall have to work through Samuels family until I find a living descendant and ask if they have any knowledge.
